hi

am kinda new to GW (loving it so far ) i have the first and eye of the north and just added faction (thinking of buying nightfall 2)

am a casual player (that's y i love GW) so i log for couple of hours a day if i log at all

last night i went crazy and spend 4 platinum (4k) on buying skills of my ( lvl 18,5 N/Mo )

i read all about farming but i have couple of question:

1) i still don't have any elite skill so should i keep signet of capture at me all the time (Had it 3 times and used it on non elite skills)

2)is there a solo build i can use for farming as N/Mo without elite skills?

3) when u farm do u identify the the items and sell to the merchant or do u sell to the merchant without identifying or u sell it to player ? (i want to make some gold)

1) Check wiki for the locations of elite skills. Just think of which ones you want and only in that area bring signet of capture. Otherwise its just waste of a skill slot.

2) I wouldnt know, im not a fan of necro's. But you might have a look here and see which elite you alrdy can cap. http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Category...farming_builds
3) I used to farm with my monkie alot, and it gave me reaaal much blue's purps and goldies. I id'ed the purps and golds for mods and sell-improvement. Its useless trying to sell blue of purp items to players, but goldies can reward you. Though if it arent good goldies, the time you spend on selling them, could be a waste, cause you get more profit if you used the time for farming.

Just wanne give you this tip: don't farm untill you completed all games and get a good knowing of how this game works. You still sound kinda new. Farming is only rewardable if you have a good spot. You'd better just finish all chapters. Playing gwen or end-area's is mostly more rewardable then farming at some crappy spot. You now act like 4k is real much, but if you get more game exp, you'll notice this is just little monney

If you really need gold, i'd advice you snowmans lair in HM. It gives you goldies every now and then, boosts your dwarven points alot, and its easy to do with a MM, and you don't need an elite. Its not really rewardable, but its probs better then the profit you get of farming at this state of experience.

Just play the game normally. Do missions and quests and you will quickly earn a lot of money, enough for armors, skills and weapons and even a bit of extra. Just pick up all the loot you get from the mobs and sell it to merchant.

2) i need to farm for gold so i can buy armor and new skills (and signats of capture), and doing the quests with 6 team (2 heros +3 henchs) get me a very little gold , all i have is 600 gold now , witch is 1 skill or 1 ":signat of capture" , and being new i can capture skills othere than elites from bosses .

If you're just starting out and are level 18 there's plenty of time to be worrying about getting gold yet. Gold builds up at a steady rate as a casual player

As for captuing Elite skills, the first step really is knowing what elite you want
http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Elite_skills_list lists all the Elite skills in game. You'll need to be looking at the Core, Prophecies and Factions lists. It's worth checking if there's a Boss with a skill you want in an area before you head out, to see whether it's worth carrying the Cap Sig. Remember you can only capture skills of your character's profession at the time you use the signet

If you haven't discovered yet, you'll get opportunity to change secondary profession once you reach certain points in the story. Most elite skills are on bosses in locations after these points.

Identifying items usually increases their value at the merchant, sometimes by a couple of gold, sometimes by doubling the price or more. Since a 25 usae ID kit costs 100g it's only worthwhile IDing something if the prices will go up by more than 4g. That'll be all blue, purple and gold weapons, and depending on area some white weapons.
Players tend to be looking for max stat weapons, so you're better off merchenting anything not a gold or green. Have a look at the auctions here on Guru, or Party Search in somewhere like Lions Arch or Kaineng City to get an idea of the player to player prices for max items and green weapons you may have

You should identify white items with a merchant value of 40g or more, as doing so will increase the merchant value more often than not. Identify and sell most blue or purple items to the merchant, but not before you check the weapon mods or runes. Some of them may be worth retaining with an expert salvage kit to sell. Check prices at the rune trader. You need more experience trading before you determine which rare items are worth trying to sell to players.

Since you have Prophecies, there are many skills available from quests. You can also get armor from collectors. Max collector armor can't be upgraded with insignia, but it doesn't cost any gold. Lists of collectors are on the wiki, and many of the items they collect drop during the normal course of play. You will have to go out of your way to find some of the collectors who offer armor. Try to just complete the game before you farm.

If you do choose to farm, try to capture Spiteful Spirit as your elite. It's pretty good for normal PvE play as well.

You will make far more money by selling Gold items unidentified @ the rate of 5k/7 unID golds. You can check for perfect Fortitude mods by equipping the weapon (without identifying it) to see if it modifies your HP at all.

Especially in Proph and Factions, high req weapons are most likely useless, and I'd rather get ~700g per unID than 204g (just a figure I've gotten from a random Gold item drop after being ID'd). I always ID gold armors, as they have a chance to hold a Superior Vigor, but that's about it. The rest of my golds get sold in lots of 7 for 5k. Makes me more than enough cash.
